Finn Balor: I Welcome Legends With Open Arms; It Doesn't Affect Me, It Shouldn't Affect Anyone

WWE brought back a handful of legends on Monday for a special episode of Raw entitled Legends Night.

The return of past stars such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Torrie Wilson, The Big Show, and more worked as Raw saw a viewership increase of over 300,000 viewers. While Mustafa Ali was frustrated with the legends returning and taking spots away from guys like him and his group RETRIBUTION, Finn Balor shares a different perspective.

"Doesn?t bother me at all. I believe that everyone has a place in this business, and if you?re on the show, you?re on the show for a reason," Balor told Alistair McGeorge of Metro UK. "If you?re on the show once a year, if you?re on the show every night, that?s down to everybody?s individual circumstance. Those guys have carved out their legacy and proven over the years that they belong on the show. Whether it?s for one night or it?s every night, that doesn?t affect me and it shouldn?t affect anyone else. For me, when the tide comes in, all the ships rise. If we can have Goldberg on the show, if we can have anyone on the show for one night, I feel it?s better one night than never. I welcome these legends with open arms!"

Goldberg returned at the end of WWE Raw to challenge Drew McIntyre to a WWE Championship bout for the Royal Rumble.

Balor is set to defend the NXT Championship against Kyle O'Reilly at NXT New Year's Evil.

Fightful will have live coverage of NXT New Year's Evil at 8 p.m. ET.
