Finn Balor Says He'll Show Up As A Man, Not A Demon, Against Brock Lesnar At WWE Royal Rumble

Don't expect to see The Demon Finn Balor this Sunday at the Royal Rumble.

Speaking to ESPN, Balor revealed that he doesn't plan of donning the paint for his Universal Title bout against Brock Lesnar. Though he did hedge by saying there is still time to come up with something.

"I feel like maybe I leaned on the demon too much there in the past as a crutch, and I can assure you that the man who faces Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble will be Finn Balor, the man," stated Balor "I think a lot of people were surprised when I came out at WrestleMania not in demon paint but I feel like I had a bigger message to spread that day -- one of equality and acceptance. Honestly, this match just kind of came about so fast that I haven't had much time to think about it. I don't have any new gear, I don't have any new looks, I don't have any new ideas right now, but you know, we're still six days away, so I'm sure I'll come up with something."

Balor stated on the NotSam Wrestling podcast in December that he has "forgotten" how to be The Demon because it's "so infrequent." Balor has not appeared as The Demon since his WWE SummerSlam 2018 bout against Baron Corbin.

He recently revealed that Stephanie McMahon greenlit the Balor Club for Everyone, which featured men and women of the LGBTQ community, entrance at WrestleMania 34.
