Lio Rush and Finn Balor say that despite rumors, there is no heat between two of them.
Rush and Balor were once involved in the Intercontinental Championship picture heading into WrestleMania in 2019. In the time since, Lio Rush has moved on from WWE and is focusing more on a music career following his release on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. As for Finn Balor, he is now on the NXT brand.
Recently, Lio Rush had to take to Twitter to once again explain that there is no beef between him and the former WWE Universal Champion. Rush did initially take exception to the fact that Finn Balor did not act to publicly squash the beef
Let’s nip this in the bud. I never had any beef with @FinnBalor. I texted you and told you I didn’t know where this story even came from and your words exactly were “ I don’t want to say anything about it publicly because it would draw more attention to the situation”.... welp— Lio (@itsLioRush) July 17, 2020
And then i told you @FinnBalor I’d appreciate it if you diffused the situation because i thought we were cool from the times your now wife watched my son at live events. I knew you had the power/influence to do that. You never texted me back & you never diffused the story. Why?— Lio (@itsLioRush) July 17, 2020
Finn Balor would eventually tweet a reply to Lio Rush after the initial tweets gained some traction. Balor would reassure Rush that there is no heat between them and if you would like to talk further, he can call him.
Lio, ive always been very fond of you, both in and out of the ring. As I told you before, there is no heat. I choose to live life in reality,& not worry about what people make up online. I’m only tweeting this because I know it’s important to you, if you want to talk, call me x— Finn Bálor (@FinnBalor) July 17, 2020
After this, Lio Rush would probably think Finn Balor and tell the rest of the world to drop the subject.
Hate that it had to get to this point. You know that I’ve always had the upmost respect for you. But I had to live with the tarnish & backlash on my name for being disrespectful for the past 2 years. I appreciate our conversation more than you’ll ever know. Thank you---- @FinnBalor— Lio (@itsLioRush) July 17, 2020
Now you know the truth. Drop it.— Lio (@itsLioRush) July 17, 2020
