The first finalist in the TBS Championship Tournament has been decided.
After a break following the quarterfinal round, AEW resumed the TBS Championship Tournament on December 22 with the first semi-final matchup between Ruby Soho and Jade Cargill. The winner of the match would move on to the finals where they will face either Jade Cargill or Thunder Rosa.
Nyla controlled the early portion of the match but Ruby got herself back in it after hitting a DDT and a steel chair assisted kick to Nyla's face. Vickie Guerrero got involved and distracted Ruby long enough for Nyla to hang her on the ropes and hit a diving knee to the shoulder. After kicking out of a Beast Bomb, Ruby was able to hit her No Future kick on Nyla to win the match and advance to the finals.

The inaugural champion will be crowned on January 5, 2022, when Dynamite moves from TNT to TBS.
