First Team Advances To Finals Of 2022 Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic

The first sem-final match in the 2022 Women's Dusty Cup took place on the March 8 episode of NXT 2.0.

Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez versus Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai opened tonight's episode of NXT. The winning team would advance to the Finals of the tournament which is set to conclude at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 2 (WrestleMania 38 Saturday).

During the match, Toxic Attraction's Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne got involved, clubbing Raquel's knee. Medical came out to check on Gonzalez and decided to clear her after she insisted on finishing the match. Cora fought valiantly but eventually needed to tag in Gonzalez. While fighting Kai, Raquel's leg gave out, allowing the unlikely pairing to hit a pair of top-rope maneuvers to win the match.

Dakota Kai and Wendy Choo have advanced to the finals of the 2022 Dusty Cup.

The other semi-final match, set for later tonight, will see Kay Lee Ray and Io Shirai take on Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter.
