The 2022 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is officially underway.
On the January 18 episode of NXT 2.0, Julius and Brutus Creed faced Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen in a quarterfinals match of the 2022 Dusty Cup. The eight competing teams were revealed over the weekend, while the bracket for the tournament was shared prior to tonight's bout (seen below).
The two teams had a hard-fought encounter, but it was Diamond Mine's Creed Brothers who would emerge victoriously. They celebrated in the ring with Malcolm Bivens after the bell. They advance to the semi-finals and will face the winners of Grizzled Young Veterans versus Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward.
The women's tournament is set to begin in February.
