Five Competitors In The WWN Championship Tournament Revealed; Champion To Be Crowned At EVOLVE 114

A new champion will be crowned at the end of the month.

In late September, the reigning WWN Champion Joey Janela suffered an injury that turned out to be far worse than expected. Janela took a dive off the top rope and landed awkwardly on his leg at GCW's 'Live Fast Die Young' show.

Janela soon went to get an MRI and a doctor revealed the following results about Janela's leg: he tore his PCL and MCL, sprained his FCL and ACL, fractured his knee, developed a mild bone contusion, a small knee infusion and a partial tear of his patellofemoral ligament. In wake of this news and Joey Janela obviously being out for the foreseeable future, EVOLVE had to strip "The Bad Boy" of the title and they announced an eight-man tournament to crown a new WWN Champion.

There will be eight competitors in singles matches and the four winners of those matches will move on the finals of the tournament to compete in a Ladder Match at EVOLVE 114 on October 28th in Ybor City, Florida where the WWN Championship will hang above the ring inside the 'The Orpheum'.

Five of the eight competitors in this match have been revealed and they are: Anthony Henry, AR Fox, JD Drake, Harlem Bravado and Jon Davis.

As the three remaining slots are filled, we will update this article or stay up to date by keeping an eye out for the WWN Alerts.
