Some unfortunate news to pass along from the Florida area.
According to a report by way of the 'Daily Commercial', Florida-based independent wrestler Ian Anselmo has been arrested after strangling his pregnant stepmother to death. The site noted that the incident occurred at a cemetery last week and the death of Sue Ellen Anselmo was confirmed on Monday. Authorities on the scene also came to the conclusion that Sue Ellen was pregnant.
The state of Florida is considering upgrading Ian Anselmo's initial second-degree attempted murder charge, said Assistant State Attorney Emily Curington who is the prosecutor for the case.
“We’ll evaluate the case and make the appropriate filing decision,” said Curington."
Ian had been training as a part of the Team Vision Dojo since last year and he made the call to authorities and informed them that he killed his stepmother at the Greenwood Cemetery in Orlando. Sue was transferred to a local hospital after the incident and the following day, Sue's mother declared her incapacitated and asked to be appointed the legal guardian of Sue's children.
