Former Announcer Joe Pedicino Passes Away At The Age Of 70

Former announcer Joe Pedicino passed away on April 12 at the age of 70.

According to PWInsider, he had been ill for some time after suffering a stroke in June 2019.

Pedicino worked in WCW as a commentator and helped create and produce a number of wrestling series including "This Week in Pro Wrestling." Pedicino worked in WCW in the late 80s and early 90s, hosting Joe Pedicino Knows. After leaving WCW in the early 90s, he founded Global Wrestling Federation in Dallas, which helped launch the careers of Sean Waltman, Marcus Bagwell, Raven, and more.

Pedicino also put together a number of charity events to raise money as well. He raised $10,000 doing a Wrestlethon event on to help a fan who needed a liver transplant.

Sean Waltman took to Instagram to remember Pedicino.
