Former Independent Wrestler "Sexy Baby" Jamie Jackson Passes Away

Jamie Asher, who wrestled as "Sexy Baby" Jamie Jackson, passed away this week at the age of 44. No cause of death was revealed.

Asher wrestled throughout the independent scene in Ontario, Canada during the 1990s and early 2000s. Asher wrestled for Steve Buckley's RWA promotion, starting out in 1995 and was a part of The Hollywood Hunks stable, which did meet with WWF Canada, but no deal was reached.

Asher briefly wrestled for WCW, competing in a tag team dark match before a Monday Nitro taping in Cleveland, Ohio. He also appeared as an extra in the "The Jesse Ventura" TV movie that aired on NBC in 1999.

WWE referee Darryl Sharma posted the following tweet regarding Asher's death.

Received word last night that one of the guys that broke me into the business passed away. We are forever indebted to those who gave us a way to pursue our dreams. Rest In Peace “Sexy Baby” Jamie Jackson.
