Former TNN President Kevin Kay Recalls Vince McMahon Urinating And Then Shaking His Hand In A Power Move

Kevin Kay recalls his first meeting with Vince McMahon.
In 2000, WWE Raw moved to TNN, which eventually became Spike TV after nearly a decade on USA Network.
Kevin Kay was the President of TNN at the time, and was encouraged to meet with Vince McMahon after the deal had been made.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show, Kay recalled his first meeting with Vince.
“I’ll tell you a funny story about Vince. Jim Burns, who was the executive in charge of production of WWE said, ‘Now that you’re running this, you need to go meet Vince and pay your respects.’ I said, ‘Sure, when is the next show at Madison Square Garden?’ ‘They just did that one. That’s not for another year.’ ‘Where am I going?’ ‘Louisville.’ I went to Louisville, and it was an amazing show. I had never been live to a WWE event; it was spectacular. They took me down into the bowels of the stadium to meet Vince. There is a men’s room and there are like 50 urinals. Vince is at the very end, urinating. We’re standing there, and I’m with a couple of WWE guys and Jim. Vince is finished; he zips up his pants and walks straight at me and puts out his hand. It’s a power move. I shook his hand. What are you going to do? I think it was a, ‘Yeah. I’m in charge. You’ll do what I tell you.'” recalled Kay.
WWE Raw was on Spike TV until 2005 when it returned to USA Network.
Kay is now part of Ki MMA with Scott Coker.
