Former Ultimate Fighter Winner Says He'd Like To Work With WWE

Big Country in the WWE? UFC's Roy Nelson says he'd like to make that happen.

Ahead of his UFC Fight Night 90 loss to Derrick Lewis, Nelson was asked about possibly jumping to the world of professional wrestling. With the likes of Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, Shayna Baszler, Matt Riddle and Ronda Rousey crossing over, Nelson has interest in doing so as well.

“I would love to go to WWE! But uh, I think in our contracts we’re not allowed to do that. There’s some people who get that little bit of extra leeway, but now I that everyone’s kinda going that way I might as well try it. I’ll talk to Dana (White) and be like 'Hey, can we do this?',” Nelson said at open workouts.

Roy Nelson looks like he'd fit right in with the Wyatt Family, but the brutal truth is that he's had no professional wrestling training. Couple that with his physical condition and the fact that he's 40-years old, and things don't look too hot for him. Nelson has spent the last seven years in the UFC, where he's gone 8-8 without defeating any top ten talent. Not typically the sort of name WWE goes after

The WWE also went after UFC fighter and Dancing With The Stars cast member Paige VanZant, who turned down the offer, but left the door open to working with WWE in the future.
