Former WWE ID prospect Aaron Roberts notes that he initially pitched for X-Pac to come out of retirement.
In November of 2024, Roberts was announced as part of the first round of WWE ID talents signed to deals with the promotion, before eventually being released from his contract in August of this year.
While speaking to Roman McPeake in a new interview, Aaron Roberts reflected on working with X-Pac while under a WWE ID deal, noting that he pitched for X-Pac to return to the ring.
“X-Pac gave me a lot of great advice. We had lots of long conversations. Just in general, obviously I pitched X-Pac to come out of retirement to wrestle me, and he obviously said no. But he just, to pull back the curtain here, X-Pac taught me a lot about what it is to be a big guy wrestling a small guy. That’s something he loves to do. That’s something I love to do. I feel like those are the greatest matches you can have, and he just really opened the book and the storytelling of what that is.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Roberts noted that if he had the chance, he would sign on with WWE ID all over again. You can read more about that here.
