Benjamin is perhaps best remembered for his WWE Money in the Bank ladder match performances, in which he always came up short. Benjamin also had memorable matches against Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker and Christian, as well as big wins over Chris Jericho, Triple H, and others.

The 41-year old Benjamin was recently rumored to have been contacted by the WWE, along with MVP. Benjamin's longtime partner Charlie Haas had formerly worked independent dates with Benjamin, but retired earlier this year.

Also on Smackdown, former ECW and NWA Champion Rhyno made his main roster return, attacking Heath Slater.
