Former WWE Prospect Details Encounter With Triple H That Got Him Blackballed From WWE

The encounter led to the prospect being kept out of WWE.
On a recording of LiMPiN AiNT EASY, Jamin Olivencia told the story of how an encounter with Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque led to him being blackballed from WWE.
Olivencia did extra work for WWE in the early 2000s and 2010s. He wrestled for Ohio Valley Wrestling from 2005 to 2014. He remembers meeting Stephanie McMahon and her being complimentary of him. She wanted to see more of him, so she asked to see a promo. She told Olivencia that when he sent it over, she’d make sure it got to Levesque.
Olivencia filmed the promo and sent it through the proper channels, but it never got to Stephanie. When he saw her again, she told him to go directly to Levesque. The first time, Levesque told Olivencia that it was not the right moment and they would catch up later. Olivencia said he saw Levesque the next day, and he appeared to be agitated, but Olivencia still went to speak to him.
Security later came to Olivencia and told him he had to leave the building. They asked him if he had followed Levesque into a bathroom and asked him for a job. Security told Olivencia that Levesque did not want him in the building and that he’d probably never be brought back. People at WWE who Olivencia was friends with reached out to him about what happened because the story that he followed Levesque into a bathroom began to spread. Olivencia denies that it happened.
After about five years, Olivencia was invited to Raw by then-WWE Senior Director of Talent Development Canyon Ceman. He stated that people were happy to see him when he arrived, but he was later pulled to the side by a referee who told him that he guessed Olivencia was blackballed and was not supposed to be there.
The referee told him that former WWE Director of Talent Relations Mark Carrano did not want him there and that they would not be able to pay him for traveling to the show despite him making it through a snowstorm. Olivencia was kicked out again. With hindsight, he said he could look back at how things played out and take responsibility.
“There was a time when I was by a monitor and Stephanie McMahon just so happened to be next to me, and her and I just started talking and I told her I was an OVW guy, and then she told me, ‘I like the way you speak’ or something like that. She said, ‘Would you cut a promo and have it sent to me?’ At the time, Brooklyn Brawler was the promo guy. I went into the promo room and I said, ‘Hey. Stephanie McMahon said she wanted to see a promo of me’ and he kind of gave me a look like, uh, Stephanie said that? I was like, ‘Yeah.’ He was like, ‘Alright, I’ll do it.’ So I cut some promos; terrible, I think. If I remember correctly, it was terrible. But, it was the next week because I was going up every single week getting opportunities, and she just so happened to run into me and she said, ‘I never got that promo.’ She just said, ‘Go talk to Hunter one of these days. Maybe he could set you up on a meeting,’ and I said, ‘OK,’ and so, I saw Hunter one time and I said, ‘Hey. Is there an opportunity where we could talk today?’ He goes, ‘I don’t have time today.’ I said, ‘OK.’ Let it go and then that was Raw and then there was a SmackDown; it was the next day. I saw him in the hallway. He was talking to Kofi Kingston. You know how you’re standing around waiting like a kid? It’s my turn coming up. So, he gets done talking to Kofi and then I start walking with him and talking, and I said, ‘Hey Hunter. Is there any opportunity where we could get to talk? I think I’d be great for kids; I think I could be marketable,’ and he says, ‘I don’t have time today.’ He seemed a bit agitated, and I said, ‘Well, I really think if I was given the opportunity, I could do well’ and in my mind, in the moment, I thought I was grabbing the brass ring, and I thought I was showing initiative, and it ended up backfiring on me where he said, ‘Alright, alright. Listen, talk to my assistant –’ it was Canyon (Ceman) at the time — I talked to Canyon. ‘He’s my guy,’ and he shook my hand, and when he shook my hand, he goes [*makes an annoyed face*], and then walked away. Like a real sarcastic face, and I was like, ‘Ugh, that can’t be good’ so then I went into catering. I’m talking to a few guys at the table. Security comes to me like 15 minutes later. They say, ‘Is your name Jamin?’ I said, ‘Yeah, my name’s Jamin.’ They said, ‘Alright, you’re not on the list. You have to leave,’ and one of the guys stood up for me and said, ‘No, no, no, he’s here with us. He’s been coming here’ and the guy goes, ‘Well, let me ask you a question! Did you follow Triple H into a bathroom and ask him for a job?’ And I said, ‘I did not do that. I saw him in the hallway. I was walking with him and I told him the situation.’ I basically explained that I knew he was uncomfortable. I knew I upset him, and the guy just said, ‘Ah, well, he doesn’t want you here and you’re probably never gonna be allowed back again.’ I thought it was a rib maybe at first. So I was like, ‘Oh. Okay.’ He’s like, ‘Alright, so, you gotta come walk with us and we gotta grab your bag and we’re gonna walk you out of the arena.’ They walked me out in front of all these people — coming into the arena — and they said, ‘Alright, take care. Good luck,’ and you know what was really embarrassing? Because as I’m walking with one of the security guards out, he’s like, ‘Why would you do that? Why would you follow him to a bathroom?’ I was like, ‘I didn’t follow him in the bathroom.’ There was people at WWE who were big fans of me and they supported me and they called me and they all work for Hunter and they’re like, ‘Why did you follow Hunter into a bathroom?’ So this became the narrative, and I was like, ‘I didn’t follow him into a bathroom’ and I just was crumbling. It was so shocking that I could have swore it was a rib, and I drove home, upset, didn’t know what to do. After five years, I get a call from Canyon saying, ‘Hey, would you like to come up to Raw?’ And I said, ‘Sure,’ and so I’m thinking, oh my God, it must have got erased… Then I come up again. I drive from Louisville, in a snowstorm, all the way to Cleveland, Ohio. It’s like a six-hour drive or something. Took me longer to get there because there was so much snow, and I’m there for the whole day and everyone’s hugging me, and seeing me and they’re like, ‘Oh! Dude, it’s so good to see you…’ I’m like, yeah, I feel home. When I walked in the building, I was like, eh, something doesn’t feel right. Something just doesn’t feel right, and I was there for the whole day. I think I’d seen Road Dogg at some point, and he was like, ‘Yeah, maybe we can give you a dark or some type of match tomorrow’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, hell yeah.’ We were talking about SmackDown at the time. So I’m thinking everything’s just dandy, no problem, and next thing I know, one of the referees is like, ‘Hey, Jamin, come here for a second.’ The minute he said that, I was like, oh no. I already knew, and he’s like, ‘Hey, look, so… you’re not supposed to be here I guess. I guess you’re, like, blackballed.’ I think at the time, Mark Carrano was the — they’re like, ‘Yeah, Mark says you’re not supposed here and sorry man, and also, we’re not gonna be able to pay you for coming here’ and I was like, ‘Please pay me at least for today, because I drove up.’ Yeah, so long story short, I got kicked out again and then the security guard — the same exact security guard — I forget his name… Same exact dude. He’s like, ‘Man, why did you come back again? You know you’re not supposed to be here.’ I said, ‘I was asked to be here. I don’t know.’ It just seemed like it was the perfect thing… It just didn’t work out, which ended up being one of the best things for me, because building my business and I think learning working with people in a completely different arena taught me a lot about myself, and I can always look at that experience with Hunter and take full responsibility that I put myself in that position. I’m the one that was aggressive. Because in the beginning, it was like, ‘Ah, screw this guy. F*ck that guy. I can’t believe he would do that,’ you know? But the reality was, no, this guy’s super f*cking busy. I didn’t have the foresight or the understanding at 28 — at the time — to realize that. I was being aggressive and you know my energy. It can be very strong sometimes. So I’m sure that it was extra annoying for him to deal with what I was trying to present. So, I think somewhere in the midst of it all, I healed myself by taking accountability instead of blaming.”
Olivencia last wrestled in 2025 for Ohio Valley Wrestling. He co-runs the DREAM Pro Wrestling promotion with Truth Magnum of The Outrunners.
