The Colons Released By The WWE

The Colons are former WWE Tag Team Champions and now they are both former WWE employees as they have been released by the company earlier today.

Primo and Epico Colon, who haven’t had a match in the WWE since 2019 and haven’t been on TV since WWE Survivor Series 2018, have yet to comment on their releases.

The duo first debuted together in the WWE as Primo and Epico Colon, managed by Rosa Mendes, capturing the Raw Tag Team Titles on a January 2012 edition of WWE Raw. They would hold the gold for a little over four months before losing them to the team of R-Truth & Kofi Kingston on WWE Raw.

Both brothers would languish in the bottom of the card before being repackaged as Los Matadores and were paired with a mini by the name of El Torito, who they would turn on during a 2015 edition of WWE Raw. They would return a few more times under the monikers of The Shining Stars and The Colons before competing primarily outside of the WWE in the WWC promotion in Puerto Rico.
