Former WWE VP Of TV Tech Describes Working With Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn, And Stephanie McMahon

Kevin Quinn spent over 35 years in WWE before being released earlier this year due to COVID related cutbacks.

Quinn was a Sr. Editor, Director of Editing, Technical Director, Director, and VP of TV Technology during his time in WWE. Now that he's been released by the company, he took to Reddit to answer fan questions regarding his time in WWE.

Many questions circulated around working with Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn in production. When asked what it was like working with Dunn, Quinn said, "I've known him longer than I've known my own wife. If you can figure him out you can work well with him and he appreciates you. He knows what the fans want and if a crew member screws up what he's trying to get across ... God bless them."

In regards to all the camera cuts that Dunn insists on, Quinn gave the quote, "'More is less,'" giving fans an idea behind Dunn's philosophy on why there are so many cuts.

When asked what it's like to work for Vince and any crazy Vince stories, Quinn replied, "Vince invited me and my wife to both of his kids' weddings. He loves the people that help him take care of the company. He's very personable behind the scenes. But business is business. Vince has his say in every aspect of the productions. You made the project then it had to be ok'd by him

Quinn also gave a story of when Vince was maddest at him, saying, "During a WrestleMania press conference he wanted more crowd shots. I had to tell him we only had 2 cameras and the press people weren't reacting the way he'd want to see. It was lose - lose."

Despite what fans might hear about Vince, Quinn was complimentary of the WWE boss, saying WWE employees are "very well paid" and receive "tremendous benefits."

Along with Vince and Dunn, Quinn was also asked about working with Stephanie McMahon, who he was very complimentary of, saying, "Stephanie was a dream to work with. She'd tell you what she wants, you tell her what you have to make it work and she's thrilled with it."
