Frankie Kazarian Feels Debut Of Thursday Night iMPACT On AMC Is Most Important Show In TNA History

The champ discusses the new deal.

It is official that TNA Wrestling inked a multi-year deal with AMC to bring their weekly iMPACT program to the channel.

The debut of Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC is January 15th, 2026. The current TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian weighed in on the announcement while on Busted Open After Dark. He said the following:

“A little bit surreal but, honestly, very, very amazing, and so much hard work went into this from the roster to the management to just everybody on the team and you know, this is a huge moment for TNA. I was privileged enough to be in Nashville when we were told we were going from weekly pay-per-views to FOX. You know, at a 4 PM timeslot on a Friday, and then to get the news we’re going to Spike TV which was giant. Dare I say, this is the most significant move we’ve made and in terms of a mainstream television network in the history of this company and to be the guy leading the charge as the World Champion, that’s not lost on me… You said I’m smiling. A lot of times, I’m known for not smiling a lot but, I have nothing not to smile about. I’m having the time of my life and this is a great time to be a wrestler in TNA, it’s a great time to be a wrestling fan.”

Bully Ray gave his opinion that the debut of Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC will be the biggest show in TNA history, and Kazarian agreed with that.

“I agree,” Kazarian said about the TNA on AMC debut being the most important show in TNA history. “And you know, I’m saying right now, now the work begins. A lot of work has gone into this but, it’s time to put up or shut up. It’s time to put our foot on the gas and really show the world, show a much bigger audience what TNA is all about and we have been about for the past 20 years. AMC is a big, big player, and this is their first venture into the live sports avenue. But when you look at their scripted dramas they’ve had, I mean, biggest shows of the last decade, two decades, when you’re talking about Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul and Walking Dead and Mad Men and all these incredible shows so, the bar’s already pretty high for us. But I have full confidence in our team that we can give them something very, very special.”

Next up on the docket for TNA is the 12/4 TNA iMPACT, and then on 12/5, the promotion is presenting its Final Resolution special. Kazarian is scheduled to defend the TNA World Championship against J.D.C. on 12/5.
