Frankie Kazarian On His Return To IMPACT: I Still Have Roots There, I Want To Help The Brand

Frankie Kazarian discusses how returning to IMPACT Wrestling has felt like coming home ahead of Bound For Glory.

Kazarian has plenty of history with the company; he worked for TNA in from 2003-2005 and returned in 2006. He then had a lengthy, fruitful run with the promotion until he finished up in 2014. Kazarian signed with AEW in 2019, but he found his way back to IMPACT in 2021 and again at Victory Road 2022. At Bound For Glory, Kazarian will challenge Mike Bailey for the X-Division Championship.

Speaking with Metro, the veteran discussed his return to IMPACT and noted that it has felt like coming home because he has reunited with plenty of familiar faces. He also emphasized that IMPACT has shaped his career in many ways, and he wants to help the brand however he can.

"I see a lot of the crew and the production people – guys and girls that I grew up with in the business. There’s still a part of that, kinda the old familiar – the faces have changed, the production is different, the regime is different, but it’s still IMPACT Wrestling. I still have roots there and I’ll do whatever I can to continue to help that brand. I’m where I am in a lot of ways because of what IMPACT Wrestling and TNA did for my career," Kazarian said.

Ahead of the pay-per-view, Kazarian noted that he plans to stick around beyond Friday night as he intends to capture his sixth X-Division Championship.

"Well, I’m fighting for the X Division Title and I plan on winning the X Division title. So yes, you’re gonna see more from me, because I plan on winning the new version. I want to be the guy to come back and reclaim his throne," he said.
