Frankie Kazarian Says Talks With WWE Went 'Very Good' But Didn't Feel It Was The Place To Be 'Right Now'

Frankie Kazarian returns to IMPACT Wrestling at IMPACT Hard To Kill in January, re-signing with the company that had been his home from 2003 to 2005 and then 2006 to 2014. Kazarian was part of AEW, but was let out of his contract so he could return to IMPACT.

As Kazrian pondered his next move at the end of 2022, he did have talks with WWE.

"Very good," Kazarian said of his talks with WWE when asked by Chris Jericho on Talk Is Jericho. "I have relationships with a lot of people there. Matt Bloom is one because Matt Bloom and I were in Kawolski's [Killer Kawolski] school together. He runs developmental and he had contacted me, 'You still want to wrestle?' 'Absolutely.' 'What do you think about coaching?' 'I don't know, maybe down the road that is something I want to do.' 'Okay.' We talked about player-coach roles and a whole bunch of things. I had conversations with a few other people. There were offers made, and very generous, and everybody up there was very cool. Something told me, 'Not yet, this isn't the place to be right now.'"

Kazarian had signed a three-year deal with AEW to start 2022.

Kazarian has called this past year, "the most rewarding, successful & overall fun years of his career."
