Freddie Prinze Jr. On NXT: Ain't Nothin' In The World Worse Than That Show

Freddie Prinze Jr. does not enjoy the modern direction of WWE NXT.

Freddie Prinze Jr. loves professional wrestling. However, he is open about speaking his mind when he doesn't like something being presented. Over the past couple of years, WWE NXT has undergone a change from a beloved underground promotion presented under the WWE umbrella to a more traditional developmental program featuring a wide variety of superstars with a range of experience.

On the latest episode of his Wrestling With Freddie Podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. reacted to a voicemail from IMPACT Wrestling referee Daniel Spencer where Spencer passionately spoke about IMPACT and why Freddie should give the brand more of a chance. Prinze, after listening to Spencer, said he would willingly watch IMPACT when he gets the chance to in 2023, saying that it can't be worse than the current state of NXT because "nothing in the world" could be.

"I promise you this, sir, I have AXS TV. I have that channel, so I don't need YouTube, and you have my word I will watch. I know this, it's gonna be better than NXT because ain't nothin' in the world worse than that goddamn show. I've given it a chance. Like once every six weeks, I watch a little bit, and it is absolute garbage. It went from my favorite promotion, when it was black and gold, to unwatchable. Un-watch-able. Like a local theater production. the last two times I've tried, it was terrible," said Freddie.

Shawn Michaels recently stated on a media call ahead of NXT Halloween Havoc that with the new regime in place, those who don't like the product can officially point the blame at him.
