Gabby Forza: Mercedes Mone Got Me My First International Booking

Gabby Forza says Mercedes Mone helped her get a booking in Paris.

Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Gabby Forza said that Mercedes Mone helped her get her first international booking in Paris.

Forza says she was in Paris due to a layover between her flight from Italy to Japan. Mercedes was also scheduled to wrestle in France that day at the BZW x Rixe Apogee event, where she lost her EWA Women’s Title. Things worked out, and Forza got the chance to wrestle at the pre-show. She shared the ring with Calypso and Celine Faery.

“I got to wrestle internationally. I was booked in Japan to wrestle internationally, but I was in Italy for two weeks. I just had family there. Then a layover between Italy and Japan is Paris. So I stayed in Paris for five days. It just so happened to be the same time that Mercedes Mone was going from Italy to Paris. So I was in Italy the same time as Mercedes Mone. I saw that, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, she did a seminar. I’m five hours away from that. I wish I could have gone.’ Then I see she’s wrestling in Paris the day I’m in Paris. I go to the show. I got added to that show. So I got to wrestle in France, all thanks to Mercedes Mone on her independent wrestling tour, defending her belts and her exposure to independent wrestling overseas. It actually got me my booking, my first international booking, before my international booking, which was just supposed to be a layover. I was just going to go as a fan to watch her wrestle. Instead, I got to be the opening match on that show and then watch her in the main event. I got to talk to her. She thought that story was amazing and asked me to be in a documentary she’s working on.”

In an interview with Fightful’s Joel Pearl, Gabby discussed getting advice from John Cena and Charlotte Flair at Lodestone Camp. Fans can read more about it here.
