Gabe Kidd To Miss Remainder Of NJPW G1 Climax 35 Tournament Due To Right Knee Injury

An update on Kidd’s in-ring status.
During the opening night of NJPW’s G1 Climax 35 tournament, Gabe Kidd took on Konosuke Takeshita. Coming out of the bout, it was announced that Kidd suffered a right knee injury.
He also missed his second tournament match against Shingo Takagi. As the 7/25 G1 Climax event was ongoing, Kidd appeared in front of the live audience.
He revealed that due to his knee injury, he’ll be pulling out of the remainder of the tournament. As a result, the remainder of Kidd’s scheduled matches will be forfeited.
Kidd is the reigning IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion. He last defended the belt against Hiroshi Tanahashi at New Japan Soul in early July.
