Gable Steveson To Make In-Ring Debut Against Baron Corbin At WWE NXT Great American Bash

Gable Steveson will finally make his NXT debut.

Gable Steveson made his decision on July 25. With multiple career paths in front of him, Steveson wanted to make his decision live in front of the NXT Universe. However, an interruption from Baron Corbin made the Olympic gold medalist's decision all the more simple.

Corbin came out to tell Gable that he doesn't belong in WWE, and now, Gable looks to prove him wrong when they go one-on-one at WWE NXT Great American Bash.

Despite Steveson making his decision, WWE has permitted Steveson to compete in forthcoming freestyle tournaments. He had expressed interest in competing in the Olympics in 2024, something he mentioned in his promo on July 25, but he would need WWE permission first. At the 2020 Olympics, he won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling.

Baron Corbin has been on his own journey of self-discovery. Recently, he came face to face with himself in the woods. Learn more about his recent journey here.

Corbin is no stranger to Olympic gold medalists as he defeated Kurt Angle in his final match at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
