Gage Goldberg Says Wrestling Is A Backup Plan If His Football Career Doesn't Work Out

Gage Goldberg, much like his father, Bill Goldberg, would consider entering professional wrestling if his chosen path of football doesn't work out.

Bill Goldberg made his name a global phenomenon during his days as a professional wrestler, but his true passion was always the game of football. Now, almost two decades after his dad's journey began in the WCW Power Plant, Gage Goldberg finds himself feeling similarly about professional wrestling as his father once did.

Former Title Holder Added To World Heavyweight Championship Match At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

Speaking with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Gage Goldberg has stated that he sees professional wrestling as a fun, adrenaline-filled plan B if his football career doesn't pan out as he would like it to.

"I mean, yes and no, for sure, because wrestling would be cool. Being amped up and everything, having all the adrenaline. But then also, like, I know my place right now is with football. So I'm going to live this out and see where that takes me. If it doesn't work out, could be wrestling. Don't know. It's a backup plan."

Elsewhere in the interview, Gage Goldberg commented on his father's recent confrontation with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. Read his comments here.
