Gail Kim shares that she thought it was just food poisoning.
18-year veteran of the pro wrestling game Gail Kim shared around midnight earlier today that she was going to undergo surgery in the morning. She tweeted out that she first believed the pain she had was coming by way of food poisoning but she discovered that she had appendicitis.
The former seven-time TNA Knockouts Champion competed in her final match for IMPACT Wrestling at the 2017 'Bound For Glory' PPV where she captured that seventh Knockouts Championship and the next night at the IMPACT tapings officially announced her retirement from the sport of pro wrestling. Gail Kim's last official match ever in the sport came in February of this year competing for the 'Southside Wrestling' promotion in the United Kingdom. Now, Gail is currently a producer and a road agent for IMPACT Wrestling where she works with the female superstars of the company.
