The friendship has been put to bed.
Since the former IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion "Switchblade" Jay White made the decision to join CHAOS, he has proclaimed that one day the faction would become his. It appears that White was right all along and all it took for that to happen was for Kazuchika Okada to lose the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Coming off his loss at 'Dominion' in June, Okada underwent an attitude change as he would come out tossing balloons into the crowd with a happy-go-lucky attitude.
Over the Summer throughout the course of the G1 Climax 28 tournament, Jay White would consistently tell his fellow CHAOS member Rocky Romeo who would be on commentary for those G1 shows that the faction would soon be his and that came to fruition today. Kazuchika Okada went one-on-one with Hiroshi Tanahashi with the rights to an IWGP Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestle Kingdom 13 on the line. Hiroshi Tanahashi was finally able to get one over Okada by pinning him and Tanahashi held on to the briefcase but after the match was when the bigger story unraveled.
Jay White jetted to the ring and hit a "Blade Runner" on Hiroshi Tanahashi and then went on to attack Rocky Romero who was on commentary. CHAOS member YOSHI-HASHI attempted to make the save but he was beat down by Jay White as well. Gedo made his way into the ring and took the chair from Jay White's hands' and in a shocking moment, Gedo put the steel chair to the back of a man who he has guided to championships and been in the corner of for nearly two years.
