The 'Gimmicks' Cartoon Is Teaming Up With Mila Kunis For A New NFT-Supported Animated Series

Mila Kunis has announced that she is helping release the Gimmicks cartoon by utilizing blockchain technology and the cryptocurrency community.

Recently, it was announced that Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, and Rocky Romero were working on a cartoon that would merge the worlds of South Park and professional wrestling.

A brief preview clip of the cartoon was released on social media but has since been deleted. Now, Mila Kunis has gotten involved and is helping release the cartoon, which will have a choose-your-own-adventure hook, give me the help of blockchain technology.

During a recent appearance on Hot Ones, the voice of Meg from Family Guy briefly spoke about how she got into the cryptocurrency world and why she prefers releasing a television series this way as opposed to traditional methods.

"I know it's really bizarre. I, myself, have only been in it for maybe about a year. Stoner Cats, We couldn't get made the way that we wanted it for the amount of money that it costs to make. The animators come out of Pixar, the directors from Pixar, it's a beautiful handmade animation and it was impossible to get made in the industry as a show. Content-wise, it's also very R-rated. I don't know where it would go. I became a fan of the crypto community through my husband [Ashton Kutcher] because he's been a part of it for so many years.

"That's kind of how I learned about it. I was like, 'Well, maybe they'll embrace this absurd idea.' So Gimmicks, for instance, is on a turnaround of every two weeks and every episode will end on a cliffhanger. It's a 'choose your own adventure' and our community that owns the NFTs will be able to dictate where the show goes at the end of every episode. That we never would have been able to do like at Netflix's or any streamers or broadcasts, traditional television."

As the NFT world continues to grow and have more of a presence in the world of media and entertainment, professional wrestling continues to try and find its place in the medium. WWE recently announced their intention to launch an NFT Marketplace. Learn more here.
