Glenn Jacobs (Kane) On CM Punk's Potential Return To WWE: In The End, It's Whatever's Best For Business

Kane has commented on the potential return of CM Punk to WWE.

Nearly 10 years ago at the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble event, Kane pulled CM Punk out of the Royal Rumble Match, and Chokeslammed him through a table, marking the final time fans would see CM Punk get physical on WWE television to date.

In 2023, CM Punk is once again a free agent following his termination from All Elite Wrestling. With constant discussion from those in and around the wrestling industry about what CM Punk's next maneuver could be, Kane has now weighed in on the subject.

Speaking with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, Jacobs tapped into the Corporate Kane character that screwed CM Punk out of the 2014 Royal Rumble Match, saying that while he is not following the situation closely, he's sure that whatever happens will be best for business.

"That's a business decision. You know, I always wish everybody the best. Again, in the end, it's going to be what everyone thinks is best for business, right? I really don't know that much about the controversy, actually. I haven't followed that closely. I just always want the best for everybody," he said.

Elsewhere in this interview, Jacobs reused the tagline of The Authority once again as he stated that he believes Vince McMahon always does what's best for business when discussing the merger of WWE and UFC. Read more here.

While WWE is a potential landing spot for CM Punk should he choose to continue on in wrestling, both New Japan Pro-Wrestling and IMPACT/TNA Wrestling representatives have openly stated that they would invite CM Punk into the fold.
