Glenn "Kane" Jacobs Says Kevin Lawler Helped Him Come Up With The "Christmas Creature" Character

Kane went through a number of character changes.

Former World Heavyweight Champion Glenn "Kane" Jacobs has put away his wrestling boots for the time being to focus on his duties as Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. Jacobs was sworn in as Mayor of Knox County on August 31st which was one month after his return to WWE where he and current WWE Champion Daniel Bryan reunited to form 'Team Hell No' and the two challenged for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships at WWE's 'Extreme Rules' pay-per-view.

Jacobs' storied career is filled with many momentous and fun moments and character names as exampled by "Issac Yankem", "Mike Unabomb", "Doomsday" and once being known as the "Christmas Creature".

Back in USWA days, Jacobs underwent a few character changes and during the holidays he adopted the "Christmas Creature" character.

Jacobs was on WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler's 'Dinner With The King' podcast over the summer and shared that the "Christmas Creature" character came from the mind of Jerry Lawler's son, Kevin.

"(Kevin Lawler) calls me later, and this is December, and he's got this idea for an evil Christmas character, the Christmas Creature," Jacobs said. "So my mom made me this costume. Kevin Lawler designed it, and my mom put it together ? green mask, candy-cane striped sleeves, tinsel, tights and all. The costume even had flashing lights with a battery pack," Jacobs said.
