GoFundMe Opened For IWA East Coast Promoter Michael Tawney After End Stage Renal Failure Diagnosis

Here’s how you can support Michael Tawney.

Earlier this month, a GoFundMe page was created for Michael Tawney, the former promoter for IWA East Coast in West Virginia. The page was created by Michael’s brother, CJ Tawney.

With a target of $13,000, donations are being accepted as a way of helping Michael Tawney make ends meet after his recent End Stage Renal Failure diagnosis, which prevents him from working a full-time job.

From GoFundMe:

My name is CJ Tawney and I am raising funds for my brother, Michael Tawney. Michael was recently diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure. Although he has also been put on a transplant list, he is not able to work a full-time job and is looking to receive disability. In the meantime, he is receiving dialysis twice a week and missing out on several things he has loved to do for so many years.

One of those is promoting professional wrestling shows with his wrestling promotion, IWA-East Coast. In the past, he has booked several performers such as Matt Hardy (WWE/TNA), Goldust aka Dustin Rhodes (WWE/AEW), Terry Funk, and even booked Pat McAfee to his first professional wrestling match. Michael has a huge heart and has done so much for so many, I figured this would be a great way to help him make ends meet with any monetary needs he may encounter.

Fightful would like to take a moment to send our best wishes to Michael Tawney during his battle with End Stage Renal Failure.
