Just a few weeks prior to his Royal Rumble spot, Goldberg is set for his WWE Raw return.
WWE have confirmed that former World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg will return to Raw on next week's episode, the first of 2017. Goldberg's last WWE appearance was on the November 21 edition of Raw.
Goldberg had been advertised for Raw by the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida for weeks, but the WWE only confirmed it Monday Night.
Goldberg will appear in the 2017 Royal Rumble, with Brock Lesnar the only other announced entrant. Several members of the Fightful.com team will be on location to cover the action. The Royal Rumble takes place January 29 from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
Also confirmed for next week's Raw is a Last Man Standing match between Braun Strowman and Sami Zayn.
