Goldberg Says He Had To Headbutt Doors To Get Into Character, Calls Roman Reigns A Joke For Criticizing It

It looks like Goldberg isn't done with Roman Reigns just yet.

It's been 4 months since Bill Goldberg was supposed to defend the WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36. Roman would back out of the match due to pre-existing conditions and uncertainty revolving around the Coronavirus. On the road to their expected match, Roman Reigns would talk about Bill Goldberg and his part-time schedule as well as some of the rituals that Goldberg would partake in the hype himself up.

Pete Dunne: AJ Styles Was A Big Inspiration On Me, I Want To Face Him In A Singles Match

In a tweet from January, Roman Reigns knocked the WCW icon for his pre-match ritual of head-butting the door of his locker room type himself up.

Goldberg recently appeared on American Monster Productions’ YouTube channel and called Roman Reigns (via Bleacher Report) a joke.

"Roman, you're a joke, first of all. Second of all, when he ragged on me about headbutting the doors and stuff, you know, I never really explained my whole thought process on that," Goldberg said. "For you guys to get the character that you got, I had to do certain things. Well, one of them was headbutt the door. Right? And that may, on the outside, look like a stupid move, but as I mentioned, we all weigh the positives and negatives, so it's very positive to make it as violent as humanly possible, and as real as humanly possible, and all the negative is you lose a little blood and hey, man, you get another concussion and cut a week off your life."

Roman Reigns has not been seen since prior to WrestleMania 36 and Bill Goldberg would go on to drop the championship to Braun Strowman who is still currently the champion on Friday nights.
