- Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Goldberg expressed his fondness for Big E:

“I’m a huge fan of Big E, both personally and professionally,” Goldberg says. “It was wonderful to see him as champion. I know he lost the belt [at Day 1], but it’s only going to be a bump in the road.

“I feel like I’m old enough to be his grandfather. I’m extremely proud of him. I first met Big E when he was a kid at one of my signings. For him to be a fan of mine throughout the years, it’s an honor and a privilege. Now, I am a fan of his. I love his work, I love his enthusiasm, I love his passion. To me, he’s the prototype for a wrestling superstar in 2022.”

“I need to be satisfied,” Kingston said. “I want the championship because that’s what we all go for. The whole point of being in this is to win a championship. If your whole purpose is to be mediocre, don’t come near me because I want to be a champion. If I don’t get it, then I have to be satisfied with myself.”

- During the recent episode of Sportskeeda's UnSKripted with Dr. Chris Featherstone, WCW trainer Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker talked Batista's failed tryout:

"You know what, WCW was set-up for training program there. He did come for a tryout, I did run him off but I knew WCW was not going to take him like he was. I thought I did him a great favor going to WWE because I sent him to the Cincinnati - whatever their training ground is. But he still holds it against me. But all things looking at it, it was the best thing to happen for him.""Well, it wasn't necessarily him. It was most necessarily with WCW because they didn't have a program for him to go," said the former WCW trainer and performer.
