It's official. Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar II is happening.
WWE confirmed the news Tuesday, confirming long-standing rumors that Lesnar and Goldberg would have a rematch of their WrestleMania XX match. The bout goes down November 20 at Survivor Series in Toronto.
This is Goldberg's first match since the WrestleMania 20 affair, which gained the disappointment of many fans. It was the last time either man would be seen in the WWE in over 8 years, and the two seemed unmotivated, leading to an underwhelming match.
Goldberg returned last week for Monday Night Raw, cut a promo and declared that not only was Brock Lesnar 'next,' but 'last.' Lesnar appeared in his hometown of Minneapolis on Monday's Raw for an awkward promo that reportedly earned the frustration of Vince McMahon due to the crowd reacting favorably towards him.
The situation took off when Goldberg worked out a deal with 2K to appear in the newest incarnation of WWE's video game. As we've seen with the likes of Brock Lesnar, Sting, Randy Savage and Ultimate Warrior, estranged talents working with 2K often leads to an 'in' with the company.
Goldberg will appear on the October 31 episode of Monday night Raw, and both talents will show up on the November 14 go home show.
