Goldberg Would Have Liked To Wrestle Kevin Owens More

Goldberg says he would have liked to smash Kevin Owens a couple more times.

When Goldberg came back to WWE to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33, he had a few matches first. He beat Lesnar in a quick match at Survivor Series, competed in the Royal Rumble match, and beat Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. Those matches led to Goldberg defending the Universal Championship against Lesnar at WrestleMania.

Six-Man Tag, Mixed Tag, X-Division Title Bout, More Announced For TNA Under Siege

In a interview with Digital Spy, Goldberg said he wished he got more time to work with Owens before moving onto Lesnar.

"It was cool. I mean, you know, it's tough. I'm greatly appreciative that he was a professional storyline-wise, and I went out there and beat him in a very short period of time. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to have a little program with him of any substance because it was a conduit to get to getting somewhere else," said Goldberg. "And he's a great worker. Great heel. He's a good kid. And it would have been exciting to be able to smash him a couple more times, as opposed to just once or twice," he added.

Goldberg has not wrestled since WrestleMania 33 but did make a speech the next night on Raw.

In the rest of the interview which is available at DigitalSpy.com, Goldberg talked about coming back again to WWE and getting booed at the Hall of Fame ceremony.
