The first award up for grabs was for Tag Team of the Year. The nominees were The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson), FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson), Violent By Design, Rich Swann & Willie Mack, and Bullet Club (Chris Bey & Hikuleo). After highlighting everyone's accomplishments, The Good Brothers were announced as the winners.

Gallows and Anderson held the Tag Titles for the first two and a half months of the year before losing them to FinJuice at Sacrifice in March. They would recapture the belts later in the summer at Slammiversary. Up next for them is a Hardcore War Match at Hard to Kill on January 8.
