Grayson Waller Captures NXT Championship At Heatwave PLE

Grayson Waller reaches the top of the mountain in NXT.

Headlining the 2026 NXT Heatwave Premium Live Event was a Fatal 4-Way match for the NXT Championship. Tony D’Angelo put the title on the line against Zilla Fatu, Cruz Montana, and Grayson Waller.

Towards the end of the bout, Fatu was set up on a table, and Waller delivered an elbow drop off the top rope onto Fatu.

Back in the ring, Montana and D’Angelo were going at it, and Montana delivered his ‘Spin the Block’ clothesline onto D’Angelo. Waller popped into the ring and delivered his rolling stunner finisher on Montana and then crawled over to D’Angelo to make the pin and secure the win.

Waller has obtained the first singles championship of his WWE career. The other title he held was the WWE Tag Team Titles with Austin Theory.
