Grayson Waller To Carmelo Hayes: Even With A Broken Leg, I Still Got Drafted Before You

Grayson Waller took a shot at Carmelo Hayes ahead of their match on WWE SmackDown.

Grayson Waller and Carmelo Hayes clashed several times when they were both in NXT. They last faced off in April, as Waller got drafted to WWE SmackDown. However, WWE announced that Hayes will represent NXT in the WWE United States Championship Tournament, and he will face Waller on the December 15 episode of WWE SmackDown.

On December 13, Grayson Waller took to Twitter/X to share a video in which he interrupted a photoshoot with Hayes.

Grayson Waller: I gotta say, I’m proud of you, man.

Carmelo Hayes: Big win on Saturday, that’s what’s up, man.

GW: I’m not talking about Tiger King, lad. I’m talking about the fact that you attacked your best friend. That’s so…I don’t think even Grayson Waller would do that, and I’ve done some mean things.

CH: Doing it for the camera? Is that why you’re doing this?

GW: Hey, hey, chill, man. We can do this Friday. I get paid big money to fight now. I’m not gonna do it here.

Hayes questioned why Waller was messing with him if he made big money, and Waller told him to relax. Hayes said he was relaxed, but Waller was interrupting him. Waller then stated that he just wanted to remind Hayes about an important statistic.

GW: I just wanted to talk about some statistics. You love statistics, right? You always talk about all your main events, all your championships, all the bangers you’ve had. But I thought I’d remind you about one statistic you haven’t thought about. With a broken leg, I still got drafted before you. Swish.

Waller previously revealed that he broke his leg during a match against Hayes on the April 25 episode of WWE NXT. He was then drafted to WWE SmackDown, and he made his debut in May.

On the December 12 episode of WWE NXT, Carmelo Hayes accused Ilja Dragunov of attacking him and Trick Williams. More information is available here.
