Grayson Waller On NXT Title Win: I’m Not Surprised, I Didn’t Come Back To NXT To Be Another Number

Grayson Waller talks returning to NXT and becoming the new NXT champion, noting that he didn’t return to just be another number.

Several weeks ago, Waller would make an explosive return to WWE NXT, cutting a scathing promo on the men’s roster of the brand before quickly turning his attention to capturing the NXT Championship, something he initially did not succeed in during his first run on the brand. However, this time around, he would capture the title after a fatal four way bout at NXT Heatwave this past Sunday, defeating Zilla Fatu, Cruz Montana and Tony D’Angelo to walk away with the title.

While speaking in a new video posted to WWE NXT’s social media, Grayson Waller would note that he is not surprised he won the title and that he didn’t come back to the brand to just be another number.

“I’m not surprised, are you? I didn’t come back here to be another number, I didn’t get demoted, I took the risk, I came back, you’re welcome.”
