Grayson Waller Returns To WWE NXT; Takes Shots At Austin Theory, TNA, Cruz Montana & NXT’s Men’s Division

Grayson Waller makes a statement.
At the start of the 7/28 NXT on The CW broadcast, there was a surprise appearance from former WWE Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller.
He took to the ring and said it’s time to shake things up. He ran down some of his accolades in WWE and said things were going well for him until they weren’t.
He said the last two years of his career have been an absolute embarrassment. Waller feels he spent time making ‘240 pounds of idiot’ relevant, referring to his former partner, current WWE World Tag Team Champion Austin Theory. He added that Theory is still allergic to the microphone and referred to Theory as the Marty Jannetty of their duo.
Waller addressed his time paired with The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston). He said he used to be dressed for a funeral, but the only thing dying was his career.
Waller then set his sights on the NXT Championship. He addressed the newest addition to the NXT roster, former TNA World Champion Cruz Montana (Mike Santana). He stated that the NXT crowd will have a shiny new toy in six weeks and told Montana that being the top guy in TNA is like being the best basketball player at the local YMCA.
A ringside producer came to alert Waller that NXT overseer Shawn Michaels wanted Waller to wrap it up. Waller said Michaels could come do something about it if he wanted him to stop.
Waller then addressed the current NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo and said he was going to send D’Angelo home to his ‘ugly’ newborn baby.
He went on to address NXT’s men’s division and called them lazy. He said a lot of them think they should be called up, but only about 10 percent of the NXT roster is ready for that, and the entire 10 percent are from the women’s division. He said the women’s roster is running laps around the men.
Waller’s microphone was cut off, so he went to speak directly into a camera, but the show cut to a commercial break.
