Grayson Waller and Apollo Crews will clash at NXT Halloween Havoc,
The two stars have been feuding to some extent since Crews returned to NXT in June. Waller has accused Crews of trying to take his spot, while the former WWE Intercontinental Champion has been determined to prove his foe wrong. The rivalry has continued to escalate since Waller poked Crews in the eye during their match on the August 30 episode of NXT, which the Australian went on to win. Since then, Crews has vowed to get revenge, and he has been teasing his dark visions regarding Waller's fate. He later seemingly blinded Waller to even the score.
On the October 11 episode of NXT, Crews discussed his issues with Waller. During a vignette, Crews had visions of a graveyard and a casket. Chucky also appeared in the vision, and Crews vowed to leave Waller "in the dark."

Later in the show, Waller faced Ilja Dragunov in the main event. During the contest, the broadcast team confirmed that Waller will face Crews at NXT Halloween Havoc. Late in the bout on Tuesday night, the Spin the Wheel, Make a Deal wheel appeared at ringside, along with some intimidating music. Waller bugged out and ran back to the ring,and the former NXT UK Champion defeated him.
WWE subsequently announced that Waller's bout with Crews will be a Spin the Wheel, Make a Deal Match.
