'Continental Wrestling Entertainment' was founded in 2015 by former World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali. The promotion is based in Punjab, India and wrestlers such as Santana Garrett, Chelsea Green, Katie Forbes, Brian Cage and PJ Black have all competed for CWE. Khali credited the launch of the promotion to the tips and tricks that he's learned from his years in the wresting business and his time working for WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Khali then shared that people have approached him about a TV deal but it is something he is delaying because he does not want to rush 'Continental Wrestling Entertainment' into a deal but once he and his partners get the deal that they see fit, he feels it could be special.

"This academy is the result of my 18 years of wrestling. I learnt a lot from Vince McMahon." Khali continued, "People have approached me for a television deal, but I don’t want to rush in. It has to be my vision and design,” says Khali. “Others have tried and failed, but once we get our type of deal, this could be special.”
