Griff Garrison: I Don't Think Brian Pillman Jr. Gets Enough Credit For Genuinely Loving The Business

Griff Garrison praises his fellow Varsity Blond.

Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. have risen through the ranks of All Elite Wrestling together. Of course, Pillman’s path into professional wrestling was much different than Garrison’s as Brian is following in the footsteps of his legendary father. Despite this, Griff says that he believes people do not give Brian enough credit for genuinely loving the wrestling industry and truly being consumed by it.

“So one thing about him and people probably know this but he loves the business. Like, more than I think a lot of people give him credit for,” Griff Garrison tells Chris Van Vliet. “Just because he's always trying to, like re-innovate us and just always trying to come up with new things and spots for us to do, and I just think people don't give him enough credit for loving the business. I think people come to him and it's just like, yeah, he's just kind of doing it because his dad did it. No, like he belongs here. Like he loves this more than anybody that I know.”

Griff Garrison says Brian Pillman loves this business so much that he even practices superkicks in the mirror at the gym.

“We'll go to the gym and like I'll be warming up and like starting my lifts and stuff and then before he does anything, he'll just be practicing superkicks in the mirror and like slapping — it’s the funniest thing,” said Griff.

On television, The Varsity Blonds continue to have problems with Malakai Black and The House of Black. We have live coverage of all AEW programming every week in our results section.
