The Gunns: We Connect With Dominik Mysterio So Much, We Both Have Deadbeat Dads

The Gunns explain why Billy Gunn is more of a deadbeat dad than Rey Mysterio.

Austin and Colten Gunn, like Dominik Mysterio, have had a heated feud with their father. Whereas Dominik turned on his father and joined The Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and Rhea Ripley), Billy sided with The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) over his own children.

Speaking with Liam Crawley for ComicBook.com, Austin and Colten Gunn were asked whether their father or Rey Mysterio was more of a "deadbeat" dad.

"This is why we connect with Dom so much and get along so much with Dom. Both of our dads are deadbeat dads. I think they're tied," Austin said.

Colten chimed in by saying that, unlike Billy, Rey did not adopt a new kid and start hanging out with him, which their dad did with The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens). He pointed out that Billy practically adopted two new kids, whereas Rey is sad his son is not by his side.

"I honestly think maybe ours because Rey didn't adopt a new kid and start running around with him .Whereas our dad just adopted two new kids and won titles with them and is scissoring on national TV and making all this merch. I don't see Rey doing that. He's still upset that his kid is not with him. Our dad, I don't even think he remembers our names. So I'm going with Billy Gunn," Colten said.

Austin then took back his answer, so it seems that the two Gunn sons are in agreement.

At AEW Full Gear, Austin and Colten Gunn will challenge MJF and a mystery partner for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.

Rey Mysterio previously dedicated the beating he gave Dominik at WrestleMania 39 to all the dads putting up with their kids. Check out his comments here.
