Gunther Appearance, Gingerbread Man’s Funeral & More Announced For 5/8 WWE SmackDown
Gunther’s appearance, the funeral for The Gingerbread Man, and more added to WWE SmackDown.
On the 5/1 edition of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against a debuting Ricky Saints. After the match, Rhodes was ambushed by Gunther from behind. The Ring General will explain his actions next week.
Kiana James wanted to get a Women’s United States Championship rematch for Giulia, but Tiffany Stratton gave her that title shot instead.
On Friday’s show, Charlotte Flair went one-on-one with Jacy Jayne. She couldn’t win the match due to interference from Fatal Influence. They were also attacked by the group after the match, so Rhea Ripley had to step up to save the day. Ripley will join Charlotte and Alexa next week in a six-woman tag team match against Fatal Influence.
In rather tragic news, The Gingerbread Man was pronounced dead due to a vicious attack by Sami Zayn on the show. His funeral will air next week on SmackDown.
