This makes him the longest reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion when totaling combined days for those who have had multiple runs with the title.

Pedro Morales, who held the title twice, is recognized as holding the belt for a combined 617 days. His first reign lasted 193 days and his second reign lasted 424 days, according to WWE.

Other sources pin Morales as holding the title for 619 days, and February 19 would mark Gunther's 619th day with the title.

Gunther is still in the midst of his one and only WWE Intercontinental Title run.

Chris Jericho, who held the title a record nine times, is recognized as having a combined 311 days with the championship.

Gunther is set to defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship on Monday's WWE Raw against Jey Uso.
