Alex Hammerstone is officially a free agent as his contract with MLW expired as the new year rang in.

Taking to social media, Hammerstone uploaded a free agent video, saying it's bothered him that he's been considered a big fish in a small pond. Hammerstone said he's not looking for an opportunity, he's giving an opportunity.

He said he wants to face the best in the world and he's issuing an open challenge to anyone out there. He closed by saying, "I was never a big fish in a small pond. I have always been a shark. Now, I’m in open waters, and it’s hunting season."

Hammerstone is set to compete at GCW on February 3.
