Hammerstone Talks Upcoming Match With Bear Bronson At Richard Holliday’s Narcissistic Behavior

Alex Hammerstone discusses his upcoming match at Richard Holliday’s Narcissistic Behavior event on August 3.

Alex Hammerstone knows Richard Holliday well, whether as a friend or as a rival. Consequently, when Holliday began planning his first event, it made perfect sense that someone with a long-standing history with him would be included on the card. As a result, Hammerstone will go one-on-one with former AEW and Ring of Honor wrestler Bear Bronson. In addition, their mutual respect brings an emotional edge to the bout. Ultimately, this matchup adds another layer to what is already shaping up to be an exciting lineup.

In a recent chat with Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds, Hammerstone hyped the event and the debut matchup. During the conversation, he praised Bear Bronson for his determination and hard work. Bronson’s AEW run saw an abrupt conclusion after his former tag team partner’s arrest for domestic abuse. Furthermore, Hammerstone pointed out that he and Bronson share a similar mindset: instead of dwelling on setbacks, they choose to push forward. Overall, it’s clear that Hammerstone thinks very highly of Bronson ahead of their August 3 bout.

“It’s going to be a great event, his first time organizing his own wrestling show. It’s got a lot of interesting and talented wrestlers on it. First time matchup with me and Bear. It’s going to be a good one. You’re looking at a guy like him who, through a set of very unfortunate circumstances that he had no control over. His career got ripped out from underneath him. Instead of boo-hooing and crying about it, he is working very hard. He has a chip on his shoulder, and he wants to prove something.

“That resonates with me and where I’m at in my career. I had a couple of unfortunate things happen, and I let it tear me apart; I fell apart. I was in a real bad spot, and through a Court Bauer reaching out and giving me the chance to come back to MLW and feel that love all over again, now I’m in that spot. ‘I’m not a has-been. My best days aren’t behind me.’ I have that chip on my shoulder. It’s going to be an interesting clash.”
