Hana Kimura's Mom Asked Bushiroad To Help Find The Truth Regarding Hana's Death, But They Refused

Hana Kimura's mom Kyoko continues to speak out regarding the death of her daughter.

Kimura passed away on May 23, committing suicide after being cyberbullied over an incident that occurred on reality show Terrace House. On the show, Hana was upset that co-star Kai Kobayashi accidentally shrunk her wrestling costume in the wash, leading to Hana slapping the hat off Kai's head. The incident led to many attacking Hana online.

Following her passing Kyoko reached out to Bushiroad, the parent company STARDOM, to help uncover the truth regarding her daughter's death, but they did not support her.

“I asked Bushiroad for cooperation to find out the truth, but they refused. They have told me to hold memorial events and make money by selling goods. After the incident, those who used her to make money ran away to avoid their responsibility. I want them to feel responsible. I strongly hope that no one will have the same experience as my daughter in the future," Kyoko told Shukan Bunshun (translation via Shigeo on Twitter)

Hana had been wrestling for STARDOM since 2016 and was one of the featured stars of the promotion. STARDOM did hold a tribute to Hana at their June 21 event. They also put out a statement following her passing, which you can read by clicking here.

Kyoko Kimura previously stated that producers of Terrace House pressured Hana to act violently on the show.
